Families across Wisconsin work hard to provide for their families and show up for their communities, yet it’s getting harder and harder to get by. Fortunately, Democrats in the State Legislature are fighting for policies that would make lives easier for working families.

Healthcare

No one should have to choose between affording healthcare and paying the bills, yet too many Wisconsinites worry about keeping up with the rising costs of their medications, or how to pay for the care that keeps us alive and healthy. We need solutions to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for everyday Wisconsinites.

Child Care

Child care keeps Wisconsin’s economy running, but too many families live in child care deserts, or cannot afford the high cost of care. This keeps parents out of the workforce, and it hurts our economy. We need to invest in child care so families can find and afford care without breaking the bank, while ensuring providers and workers are paid deserving wages so they can afford to stay open.

Paid Leave

At some point in our lives, we will all need to take time away from work to care for ourselves or a family member, and we should be able to do so without worrying about our next paycheck, or if our job is secure. But across the Badger State, an overwhelming majority of Wisconsin workers do not have access to paid family and medical leave. Paid leave would be a game changer for families - and our economy.
